Position Summary:

Bimbo Bakeries is looking for a confident, self-starter, who is also results-driven and demonstrates professionalism, to serve in this new critical business-critical role of Analyst, Shopper Marketing. This position will supply analytical support to the Shopper Marketing Team to understand the shopper program’s performance and provide continuous optimization recommendations at both a brand and customer level.  The ideal candidate has experience working with various customer datasets, distilling information, can answer the “so what” of the data, and then can pull it all together with storytelling that answers the “now what.”    

This position reports to the Head of the Shopper Marketing Team and is part of the Marketing Center of Excellence (MCOE).  The MCOE also includes subject matter experts across Media, Analytics, Content, Marketing Research, and Packaging Graphics.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Access relevant information, interpret results, draw conclusions, and forms recommendations about opportunities to improve Shopper Marketing program performance.
  • Define the KPIs for Shopper Marketing Programs (in-store and digital), and work with key stakeholders to build benchmarks.
  • Support the development of templates and standardized processes for post-program reporting.
  • Builds and delivers post-program reporting for all Shopper Marketing Account Leads by organizing disparate pieces of information into clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to aggregate program-level learnings to build Shopper Marketing truths and best practices at a portfolio-level
  • Responsible for supplying shopper marketing program data to measurement partners (i.e., MMM)
  • Present internally and to external business partners, including customers and agencies


Job Requirements

Skillset and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of analytics-relevant experience such as trend analysis, data analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Experience using Consumer, Shopper, Loyalty, and Customer data to influence stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Track record of communicating complex and detailed information to individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels
  • Strong analytical aptitude and data visualization experience with the ability to quickly learn a range of software and digital tech such as IRI ShopperSights, POS, Panel, or similar data tools
  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

•       Strong written, oral, and formal communication skills

Preferred Technical Skillsets:

  • Comfortable working with Shopper, Consumer, and Customer/Retailer datasets 
  • Familiarity with Marketing Mix Modeling and Primary Research
  • Primary Research Study familiarity for combining relevant insights and translating them into actions
  • Familiarity with Promotions & Loyalty Partner analysis experience such as Fetch, Quotient, Numerator, Inmar
  • Can translate retail media and or promotion data to actionable insights to inform optimization strategies to enhance future performance
  • Advanced Analytics experience such as statistics, designing tests, running models, and creating segmentations are a bonus

Education and Work History:

•       Bachelor's degree required

•       3+ years of analytics experience working in Shopper Marketing, Finance, Category Management, Retail, or a related field

•       A combination of education, training, and experience that results in proven competency to perform the work may be substituted
