Job Responsibilities & Duties:
1.Reports directly to the Plant Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor
2.Must be able to work with all levels of plant personnel
3.Evaluate your assigned equipment and make recommendations, track improvements. Improve your shifts equipment performance
4.Keep plant running and put out quality product
5.Use “Root Cause Analysis”- investigate until solution is found. Use your entire team, for this activity as needed and with supervisor
•Keep plant running and put out quality product
•Deal with day to day problems-decide what needs repair now and what can wait, schedule the work and inform supervisor
•Assign work to mechanics as downtime dictates—PM’s and work orders
•Assign work to mechanics to keep them productive daily
•Generate list of tasks needed and assign. Record into the Somax system as needed. Communicate with planner frequently to support your assigned line
•Ensure mechanics downtime sheets are accounted for your shift and signed by production and maintenance at the end of the shift daily.Foremen or maintenance supervisor
•Review CM’s and PM’s with your maintenance team weekly for your assigned line. Track performance with the team. Use the maintenance screen. Keep records of this activity
•Make sure work orders are written for equipment problems
•Cancel out PM’s and work orders
•Track notes from PM’s and work orders and take appropriate action (order parts, reassign, investigate etc.)
•Inspect 3 pieces of your assigned line equipment weeklyand document findings, create work orders and schedule repairs. Keep records of this activity

•Generate list of tasks needed and assign per shift
•Assure PM’s and work orders are done correctly. Check 3 PM’s at the end of your down day for proper completions
•Help search out parts so we do not buy from OEM if possible
•Make sure we have parts for work scheduled for your shift
•Order all parts for inventory in a timely manner, receive them and catalog their arrival
•Process all maintenance invoices dealing directly with vendors and OEM’s. Track spending for departmental budget purposes
•Provide support to the maintenance department by processing all paperwork, creating/running reports, and tracking parts usage
•Input data into computer systems/CMMS related to preventative maintenance tasks (PM’s), work orders, Downtime, Environmental items, etc.
•Maintain record of vendor and contractor quotes and GMP forms
•Responsible for ensuring all parts are tagged, logged into computer system, and stocked back into proper location
•Create parts order for Purchasing
•Maintain usage log and remove obsolete items from inventory with oversight from Chief Engineer
•Maintain environmental database (BEST) with updated information (wastewater, oxidizer related info, refrigeration, vendor updates, etc.)
•Conduct audits / inspections as required
Keep contractor COI’s up to date and obtain COI’s for new contractor
•All other duties requested by the Plant Engineer
•Read and respond to maintenance log books
•Achieve a 5% mechanical downtimethrough the mechanic downtime sheets on a consistent basis for your shifts assigned equipment. This will be a work in progress with your team. When work is assigned, I am more concerned with quality (No call backs) then quantity. Let’s get it fixed right the first time
•Assure GMP’s are followed
•Attend meetings as required
•Provide daily reports to management either through logbook or verbally
•Weekly preventative maintenance checklist filled out on 1 piece of equipment on your shift
•Work request audits- following up with originator
•Signing for downtime at the end of each shift daily with production supervisor and your immediate supervisor
