The Analyst Materials is responsible for clarifying and enhancing the Supervisors ability to conduct their daily activities and to assist in the efficient movement, including the front line distribution operations, in accordance to the schedule of the Logistics department.  This individual must also follow Quality Assurance, USDA and safety requirements.  This individual is also responsible for administering training to shipping and receiving associates, assuring that standardized work is in place and all associates are following standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Good Manufacturing Process and Safety.
  • Effectively communicates as required with Department Supervisor.
  • Ensures that all actions are in compliance with QA and USDA standards.
  • Promotes Continuous Improvement, looks for improvements and better methods to facilitate work flow for all
              Associates without affecting quality or safety standards.
  • Assigns and monitors associates movements in accordance to daily plan.
  • Exhibits, at all times, a professional manner to obtain maximum collaboration and better labor performance.
  • Ensures that all reports and documentation are correct and timely.
  • Verifies that all hours and names are correct, without exceeding the permitted hours.  Tracks lunches and breaks.
  • Verifies that the ingredients and usage corresponding to a product are correct.
  • Maintains & provides communication to all workers with regard to product movements to assure accurate movement.
  • Assists shipping/receiving associates as needed.
  • Learns and understands departmental job duties to a high level of detail.
  • Prepares materials, tickets, orders, etc., in a timely fashion to ensure on time delivery.
  • Creates and validates all training materials .
  • Performs training audits to identify training gaps.
  • Conducts on the job training to correct deficiencies and re-evaluates.
  • Observes and audits work to make necessary changes to documentation or processes.
  • Able to document work to a high level of detail for the purpose of training teammates.
  • Ensures Regulatory Compliance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Works with teams to make recommendations on how to improve processes to optimize on time delivery while contributing to safety, quality, cost and lead time.
  • Provides feedback to teammates and evaluates abilities.
  • Continuously trains workers to read and review recipes.
  • Trains workers on hygiene and safety rules to eliminate accidents.
  • Must be able to identify and locate product on shipping dock.
  • Responsible for spotting/moving trailers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED.   Two-three  years shipping/receiving experience.
    • Problem Solving and analysis skills.
    • Must have working knowledge of hand trucks, forklift trucks and other equipment.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
    • Effectively communicate any issues with Supervisors and fellow employees.
    • Good written and verbal communications skills.
    • Experience with Word, Excel and Power Point.
    • Must be able to motivate and give direction to team members.
    • Demonstrate effective time management skills (i.e. scheduling, prioritizing, delegating, etc.).
    • Able to communicate and make logical decisions.
    • Walk the line and monitor events.


    Physical Demands

    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Work standing or walking for long periods of time.
    • Work bending and squatting.
    • Work making fast and repetitive hand motions.
    • Work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions.
