The Senior Account Manager will represent and be responsible for sales and profits of Bimbo Bakeries USA’s Acelerada Division in both Foodservice and Retail channels for assigned products. This role will also be responsible for developing solid relationships with all decision makers in both channels of customers in addition to FS contract development, trade spend management and aggressively selling for distribution growth at HQ levels with support from our brokers. Developing strategic plans by market / account and engaging broker networks to maximize selling opportunities is an essential part of this role.


•         Will be responsible for the overall sales of select Acelerada products in assigned channels and major account(s).

•         Will cultivate and maintain long term productive relationships with all major retail and foodservice chains, Independents and supporting broker organizations.

•         Develop and present quarterly and annual business plans to achieve maximum potential

•         Develop and implement all commercial bakery strategies for the customer.

•         Provide leadership and direction of all assigned account activities.

•         Provide strategic direction and plans for the assigned accounts.

•         Provide strategic direction that influence BBU’s (Acelerada’s) short and long-term decision-making processes.

•         Work with general management to maximize sales and coverage of the accounts.

•         Help maximize sales by acquiring new foodservice business by solicitations and bidding on contracts.

•         Collaborate with other BBU Foodservice organizations to deliver maximum growth and profitability for BBU.

•         Work with all functions of the Acelerada supply chain including bakeries, shipping, distribution, and customer service.

•         Deduction management assuring prompt reconciliation of all transactions including write off’s, charge backs, payments, etc.

•         Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


•                    BA/BS in Business preferred but not required, Business, Marketing or related field.

•                    A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work. 

•                    Min. of 7 – 10 years sales experience in CPG Foodservice and Retail. Baking experience a                   plus.

•                    Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiating skills.

•                    Strong project management skills are required.

•                    Must have strong analytical skills including financial reporting.

•                    P&L, business analysis & merchandising experience preferred.

•                    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.

•                    Must be willing to travel.

•                    Must have received all prescribed doses of COVID-19 vaccine (2 for Moderna/Pfizer; 1 for J&J) and booster shots at the appropriate times prior to first day of work.


This position requires the incumbent to have strong working knowledge of sales processes and procedures, presentation development incorporating relevant usage of available data and proficient in negotiating techniques.

Ability to create and implement change while working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
