Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Transformation Finance role will provide valuable insight and financial leadership on key Value Chain Transformation (VCT) initiatives for BBU. The role will serve as the finance business partner on all Next Generation DSD projects for BBU providing business analytics to support fact-based decisions on implementation structure and opportunities to maximize financial impacts. The role will also lead development of reporting insights and analytics for key finance and business metrics as well as forecasting and planning for all VCT initiatives and collaboration with BBU FP&A on transformation reporting requirements for Grupo Bimbo. The ideal candidate for the Senior Manager, Transformation Finance role will have prior experience supporting sales operations leadership, leading project work cross-functionally and/or working in a supply chain finance role, ideally in a CPG or retail environment. Key areas of responsibility include:

Key Job Responsibilities:

•         Financial Reporting:

o   Manage financial and operational reporting for all VCT initiatives, including core KPIs, management profit impacts, discounted cash flow assumptions for project paybacks, etc.

o   Develop expert knowledge of BBU systems with an ability to manage large amounts of data to build reports and analytics that support the scope of work across all aspects of VCT projects.

o   Collaborate with BBU FP&A on all VCT required reporting to Grupo Bimbo.

o   Lead all forecasting and budgeting processes for VCT initiatives as they are integrated into the BBU Business Unit financial plans.

o   Support the Sr. Director, Transformation Finance and the Vice President of Value Chain Transformation with ad-hoc business analytics, business case development and Executive Steering Committee presentations.

o   Lead capitalization reviews and restructuring assessments with key Finance Leadership resources including ongoing forecast updates and change management impacts as required.

o   Partner with BBU IT resources to ensure integrity of financial systems/databases being used for VCT reporting and ensure automation of ongoing reporting is a priority.

•         Financial Business Partner:

o   Serve as the Finance Leader on Multi-Step projects across BBU by supporting the Director, Next Generation DSD and their Deployment Team.

o   Engage with the operational team from inception of a project to ensure that financial implications of decisions are being properly considered and reflected in financial modeling, including impacts on labor, supply chain, operating cost models, route structures, etc.

o   Identify opportunities to manage impacts noted above to enhance earnings, effectively communicating findings/insights to allow for informed fact-based business decisions.

o   Develop consistent business case modeling including key financial assumptions, investment paybacks and management profit impacts

o   Provide ongoing monitoring and assessment of projects after execution that properly roll into all VCT reporting requirements.

o   Partner cross-functionally with VCT Leadership, BU Strategy, Supply Chain and Sales Operations to ensure the financial impacts of proposed structure and business model changes are properly understood and reflected in the business case and financial modeling.

o   Collaborate with each BU Director, Transformation Finance on key projects outside the scope of Multi-Step to ensure cohesive business case development and financial modeling for a full view to VCT initiatives and financial impacts.

Due to the small size of the Transformation Finance Team, this role will have visibility to the Vice President, Value Chain Transformation, the entire VCT Team and every Business Unit leadership team as well. The exposure will allow for maximum connectivity to critical leaders in the business that will provide excellent opportunities for career growth.

Job Requirements

•         Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to determine key issues and develop effective action plans.

 

Education and Work History:

•         Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin or related field required. MBA a plus.

•         CPG or DSD experience preferred.

•         7+ years of progressive financial and operational analysis experience required, working with cross functional partners to drive business performance. 

•         Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, research capabilities and overall business acumen required.

•         Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.

•         Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase and BI systems a strong preference.
