The Sr Manager of Finance is a business partner assisting the Director of Finance with responsibilities for business case development for major initiatives across BBU’s business i.e. Asset Strategy analyses, Investment analysis, and Capital Investment/Restructure/Productivity Planning, Tracking, Analysis and Reporting.

At the guidance of the Director of Finance, the Manager’s responsibilities include: 

  • Business Case Development / Major Initiative Support

    • Develop in-depth business cases analyzing investment options, cost, benefits & scenarios:

      • Partner with Business Units and functional leaders to create strategic investment options for the business using financial models to support decision making.

      • Develop business cases, analysis, presentation materials and communication packages in support of major business reviews.

    • Assist the Director of Finance manage the business case review and approval process across the organization by ensuring appropriate and complete reviews by:

      • BU Management, SR. Management & Grupo Management

  • Major Projects & Initiatives Tracking & Reporting – responsible for tracking activities and spend on major projects from ideation to commercialization.

  • Capital Investment Planning – assist the Director of Finance manage the capital planning process by collaborating with functional business areas as follows:

    • Capital Planning: own and manage the annual capital planning calendar & processes.

    • Budget Development: coordinate with the US Business the submission of capital needs:

      • Manage planned capital projects to ensure alignment with business strategies

    • Capital Consolidation: aggregate spend plans/actuals/forecasts, analyze and report

    • Review & Approval: Manage the capital plan/forecast review and approval processes and communicate plan/forecasts to Grupo Bimbo.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

  • MBA Preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience: Business Finance, Business Performance, Accounting, Strategy.

  • Familiarity with Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturing & distribution a big plus.

  • Strong system knowledge and expertise; Oracle, Essbase, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Proven complex modeling skills.

  • Ability to work independently remotely and still be an effective team player.

  • Ability to use modern on-line meeting platforms: Zoom & MS Teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking.

  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to influence across various levels and functions within an organization.
