Position Summary:

This position is responsible for all activities that occur within the manufacturing facility in support of the Plant Manager/Director of Operations. The Senior Operations Manager provides leadership for, and develops abilities of the management team to achieve consistent production of high quality products and deliver financial profitability for the bakery.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee manufacturing operations for a commercial baking facility consisting of hourly associates and management staff.
• Lead the achievement of a zero injury workplace. Insure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulation
• Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism, demonstrating active support of the Company’s values and policies.
• Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan.
• Maintains records for all phones of production relative to the quality of the product, including bakery formulation records, and those records necessary for auditing purposes to include order completion and scheduling of holiday production.

• Knowledge of the operations of all bakery departments: production, quality, food safety, maintenance, and materials management.
• Demonstrated track record of leading the improvement of operations while delivering day to day performance.
• Ability to analyze data using various operating systems and programs.
• Demonstrated experience building a strong leadership team.
• Ability to work closely in a team-based environment with associates at all levels in the organization.
• Knowledge of safety related issues including compliance with State, Federal and Local regulations.
• Labor relations experience.
