Position Summary:
This position is eligible to work remote.
The Material Supply Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing supply of packaging and ingredients needed to ensure bakeries are prepared for routine production and to meet special projects or promotions. The key deliverable is overseeing supply of ingredients and packaging, into and out of BBU bakeries in across North America while working with key internal and external stakeholders to support production goals. In this role, the Material Supply Supervisor will drive efficiencies in the ordering process and present opportunities to streamline in-place procedures. This position acts as liaison between the Material Analysts and internal and external stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities:
▪ Gain thorough understanding of business needs and promote alignment of key stakeholders regarding direct material needs – coordinate with project teams at a local/country level
▪ Build partnerships and engage with key stakeholders to ensure Procurement’s early “seat at the table” (e.g., Operations, Marketing, etc.)
▪ With the Manager, review slow-moving items and allocate high risk direct materials to mitigate the business’ risk of obsolesces and stock out
▪ With the Manager, communicate projects to the Material Analysts, and is responsible for ensuring replenishment of new ingredients or packaging to the bakeries for testing or new launches
▪ Identify, research, and implement cost-savings opportunities in transportation
▪ Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key metrics and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
▪ Supervise the MRP analysis/replenishment of required stocking levels for ingredients and packaging in designated plants across the United States.
▪ Develop and implement processes that provide opportunities to minimize risks and streamline current processes.
▪ Track and report on opportunities and projects. May include creating and presenting in Power Point, Excel, and/or Word formats.
▪ Respond to internal ad-hoc requests as needed
▪ May involve 10-20% travel (post Covid)

Education and Work History:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Supply Chain preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
