The Account Executive will represent Bimbo Bakeries USA at the Regional and Divisional headquarters location TBA. The position will be responsible for the sales and profit of all BBU products within assigned account (s). This position will also be responsible for managing corporate selling efforts; including promotional strategies, new items, displays, marketing initiatives as well as building and maintaining solid business relationships with all decision makers within the account.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all BBU safety programs are promoted by the company.

  • Ensures a safe working environment for all associates through Safety Programs promoted by the company.

  • Will be responsible for the overall sales of all BBU company products in all assigned major account (s).

  • Will cultivate and maintain long term productive relationships with all major retail and foodservice chains and Independents.

  • Develop and present quarterly and annual business plans to achieve maximum potential-reports as needed.

  • Develop and implement all commercial bakery strategies for the customer.

  • Provide leadership and direction of all assigned account activities.

  • Serve as the liaison between the major accounts and the sales operations organization.

  • Provide strategic direction and plans for the assigned accounts.

  • Provide strategic direction that influence BBU’s short and long-term decision making processes.

  • Work with sales management to maximize sales and coverage of the accounts.

  • Help maximize sales by acquiring new foodservice accounts by solicitations and bidding on contracts.

  • Ensure Sales Personnel have the correct inventory on hand for all Foodservice accounts.

  • Work with National Foodservice personnel help provide strategies for your specific BU.

  • Work with all functions of the Organization including Shipping, Distribution, Transportation, Sales Bakery personnel and other Managers as needed.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business preferred but not required, Business, Marketing or related field.

  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years sales experience in CPG. Baking experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of Retail Link, Info To Go and Walmart and Sam’s Club structure are a plus.

  • Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Strong project management skills are required.

  • Must have strong analytical skills including financial reporting.

  • P&L, business analysis & merchandising experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, SharePoint and Outlook

  • Must be willing to travel as needed throughout Pacific Business Unit area.

Key Behavioral Competencies:

This position requires the incumbent to have strong working knowledge of sales processes and procedures, space management programs and DSD operations.
