The Assistant Marketing Manager will provide analytical, project management and thought leadership for the projects in which they are assigned, delivering on key business objectives and supporting day-to-day business activities.  The Assistant Marketing Manager will report directly to a Category Marketing Manager, yet will support multiple managers / product categories.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day portfolio activity and problem resolution with key cross - functional areas across all regions including: customer brands, purchasing, promotional agencies, consumer affairs, master files, finance, product development, regulatory, quality assurance, sales, operations and distribution.

  • Coordinate high profile projects and multiple projects at a time.

  • Assist in development and execution of marketing presentations, customer presentations and marketing plans.

  • Monthly reporting of business and category performance.

  • Project coordination of new product opportunities including developing point of sales materials, merchandising displays, sell sheets, and account presentations.

  • Assist with new product development and commercialization support and documentation.

  • Support for marketing campaign execution and community management, marketing research, and reporting.

  • Retail packaging development and management.

  • Meeting and event coordination.

Job Requirements

  • Required undergraduate degree in Business, ideally with major in Marketing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing, consumer packaged goods environment ideal.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Has successfully led and completed difficult projects that have required leadership, initiative and change management.

  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
  • Must be proactive and performance driven, have a sense of urgency and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter, has a natural curiosity.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, web navigation).
