As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide valuable insight on a daily basis to the performance of the organization. This position will business partner with the National Customer and Revenue Management team and is responsible for reporting insights, analysis, forecasting and planning for the Organization. Key analytics include: Volume, Gross Sales, Net Sales and Share by Customer, Channel, Brand and Geography.  The Commercial Finance Manager will have prior experience related to revenue analysis, ideally in a CPG, Food Service or retail environment.

  • Assess performance and alignment of current strategy vs. established goals and market dynamics.

  • Work with the FP&A function to understand business results through P&L analysis … trends, earnings variation, mix and various ad-hoc analyses.

  • Analyze business results identifying ways to manage cost and enhance earnings

  • Work with leadership to create and implement course correction / enhancement. Support insights with business analysis and fact based decisions.

  • Work with market area teams to assess and align businesses with brand and customer development objectives:

    • Key work includes understanding the business proposition and impact to the business unit: pricing analytics, margin, sensitivity analysis.

    • Understand impact of initiatives on distribution and supply chain.

  • Work closely with the customer planning team to understand the value and expected impact of customer investments, forecast impact on business and provide insights on past and future programs. This includes reconciliation to broader business and financial goals, insights driving results and recommendations on how to improve end result.

  • Assess and quantify investment objectives as they relate to business development such as route, new products and market development activities, and their impact on distribution & supply chain.

  • Support Sr. Staff in the development of presentations and business review materials that highlight performance, bring clarity to key issues and support recommendations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Degree in Finance, Business Admin or related field required. MBA a plus but not required.

  • CPG, Food Service or DSD experience preferred but not required.

  • At least 5-7 years of progressive analysis experience required. 

  • Strong financial knowledge and general accounting knowledge.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle Financials and leveraging business intelligence systems. leveraging MS Excel modeling and data management capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business Admin or related field required. MBA a plus but not required.
