In collaboration with Platform/Product Owners, and under the general direction of the Head of IT Architecture, provides a high-level, all-inclusive vision of Oracle Fusion ERP Adoption and drive the direction of the implementation and subsequent quarterly updates.
The business architect will work closely with IT and business leaders to create alignment between business and IT. The business architect facilitates discussion around the construction of business models, which may include technology, business capabilities, value-streams and processes and other key business architecture deliverables. Business Architect will be focused on both strategic business-outcome deliverables, as well as project acceleration.
The business architect will proactively and holistically lead and support Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities for creating deliverables that guide the developing direction for managing a portfolio of solutions, and driving achieving targeted business outcomes.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
- Collaborate with key enterprise stakeholders to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable and drive business strategy. Focuses on growing revenue, optimizing costs and mitigating risk.
- Facilitates enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, technology and business cases, and business innovation portfolio development along with operating model development.
- Develop business architecture deliverables to help business leaders identify and make IT investment decisions. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, business-outcome-statements, strategy on a page, scenario planning, business capability modeling, value-streams mapping, business process models, ecosystems modeling, customer and user profiling, journey maps, human-centric design and investment roadmaps.
- Facilitates development of crosslines of business solutions that combine knowledge of business capabilities, value streams and business processes.
- Consults with technical subject matter experts to develop technical solutions. Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Participates in development and application of standards and minimal viable architectures through the EA governance model, which is informed by the business strategy and corporate governance. Clarifies accountability and provides the focal point for agile, effective and efficient decision making.
- Works with key organizational stakeholders, enterprise and domain architects, to define a strategic plan for leveraging integrated business architecture as part of the organization’s overall enterprise architecture.
- Define, explore, and support the implementation of Oracle Fusion Strategy to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them
- Work with the provider to plan and develop the Oracle Fusion Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities
- Provides guidance to other Oracle Fusion ERP configures, integrators, and other solution, platform and infrastructure support architects as necessary
- Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of Oracle Fusion ERP solution and explore solution alternatives when integrations and other functional solutions are not ready for migration
- Ability to perform an assessment of the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, understand that current state and its implications to processes, document and communicate those findings effectively to internal and external teams, and make proactive recommendations for optimization and improvement of the overall solution.
- Act as subject matter expert on Oracle Fusion ERP functionality and system design.
- Assist in developing a prioritized implementation/transformation roadmap.
- Coach, mentor and collaborate with other architects and peers to develop an enterprise architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
