Under the general direction of the VP IT oversees the daily operations of all financial and business-related responsibilities for the Business Technology team. The IT Finance Business Leader plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and manages a broad range of financial and business management services for the Business Technology team, and is responsible for oversight of programs involving IT risk and asset management, IT accounting and related governance of running the business of IT.  Also responsible for BBU’s sourcing strategy for all IT product and service delivery.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Business Technology financial planning supports the organization's strategy.
  • Provides thought leadership in sourcing strategy, operations, innovation and efficiency improvements.
  • Leads the research and analysis of market trends and best practices to ensure sourcing strategies and approaches are current, risks are identified, governance frameworks are effective, and insight is gained through the analysis of costs, benefits and supply markets.
  • Manages the development of expense and capital budgets, including short and long-range financial and business planning as it relates to Business Technology. Review department budgets and forecasts; perform analyses to understand variances and underlying trends, recommend action(s) as appropriate to close any gaps.
  • Leads IT business governance activities (via the Steering Committee) regarding project funding, resourcing, prioritization and selection based on customer demand, consumption trends and projections.
  • Leads Business Technology team through expense modeling and budget planning.
  • Supervises the provision of financial analysis support on budgeting, projects invoicing, vendor contracts and financial reports for technology spending on services and products; provide oversight and guidance on trends.
  • Works with Business Technology leadership to establish key business metrics, forecast results, and create a robust performance reporting platform.
  • Organizes and provides direction over enterprise IT governance process to review requirements, business case, and goals for all initiatives to ensure they are aligned with company strategy, corporate standards and other relevant requirements.
  • Partners with Finance on portfolio planning and budget process.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a MS/MA/MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT or related field or equivalent work experience, 10+ years of experience in an IT finance, business management, project management, accounting, budgeting or a related field.

  • Highly familiar with IT asset accounting and monitoring of annual budgets and expenditures.

  • Experience with IT financial reporting tools and various systems used within the IT financial management domain (e.g. general ledgers, fixed assets, project/portfolio management, and procurement.

  • Knowledge of IT sourcing delivery models, methods and best practices.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Oracle ERP.

  • Ability to track and resolve issues regarding Value Realization on specific projects and solutions
