The Internal Auditor supports the audit process in an efficient way that allows the audit team to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of GB's corporate governance, risk management and internal control by identifying improvement opportunities and recommendations.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Engage in the internal audit process:

Planning

  • Support gathering and analyzing information of the processes to be audited to detect possible areas of risk, performance problems, trends, best practices, among others
  • Document and understand the regulations applicable to the auditable process

Execution

  • Gather and analyze missing planning information (when applicable)
  • Participate in interviews or workshops to document process flows or any other document necessary to achieve an understanding of the process, its risks and controls
  • Execute audit tests in accordance with the procedure set out.
  • Discuss and validate results and recommendations with a Senior and/or Executive Auditor
  • Document the findings and recommendations in MKI
  • Obtain and document action plans in MKI

Reporting

  • Support with final modifications to the draft report

Follow-up

  • Inform the Senior and/or Executive Corporate Auditor of the status of action plans
  • Follow up on pending action plans

General activities within the function:

  • Formalize and complete the personal development and training plan in GB Talent
  • Perform properly and on time other processes required by the personnel area, for example: definition of goals, evaluation of goals, etc.
  • Support the team in administrative tasks
  • Comply with global and functional policies that apply
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time or as the assignment requires.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering plus 1-2 years of experience in areas related to auditing.  A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge in supply chain process such as procurement, manufacturing, logistic, transportation & customer.
    Maintenance of the confidentiality of any personal or company information encountered.
  • Knowledge of the following applications are a plus – Oracle, ACL, MKInsight.
  • Participate in the Excellence Auditor Program for new Auditors. This is a training/immersion program that requires traveling for approximately 6 months to countries where Grupo Bimbo has operations performing audits in different areas.

Key Behavioral Competencies

This position requires the candidate to have experience and knowledge of auditing and analysis procedures, and a sound understanding of generally accepted auditing standards.
