Journeyman Electrician Position Requirements:
- Current EL01 General Journey-Level Electrician’s license issued by the State of Washington.
- HS Diploma/GED preferred.
- Food plant experience preferred.
- Training and experience in use of Allen Bradley and Square D PLC's, VFD's, HMI, servos, etc. is a plus.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v, 3 phase, read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant including experience in electro-mechanical/multi-craft/multi-skilled Maintenance practices. Strong plus if trained and experienced in compressed air systems, Boilers and Hydraulics.
- Strong mechanical background in a production setting troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, conveyors, sprocket/chains, belts, clutches, and brakes. Knowledgeable in use of all power tools, hand tools, welders, drill presses, etc.
- Experience with control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motors, motor starters, single and three phase electrical components, transformers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, procedure manuals and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to work from drawings, schematics, sketches and through verbal communication.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment on assigned projects/ tasks and report to supervision the status of each as needed.
- Willing to work shift schedules plus overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.
- Practical problem solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to learn and understand the principles of the BBU Maintenance and Manufacturing Transformation, including lean tools, process capability and operational discipline.
- Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. Performs highly repetitive motions, stand for eight plus hours.
