Bimbo Bakeries USA currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Coordinator at the Oxnard, CA Bakery. The Manufacturing Coordinator ensures the materials necessary for the production schedule are available to meet the sales forecast. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be able to safely and accurately perform assigned duties by management. The Bakery operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Successful candidate must: 

• Reviews established forecast and determines materials to be orders

• Maintains accurate inventory of raw materials and packaging materials

• Monitoring supply orders through Oracle to ensure On-Time-Delivery.

• Coordinates weekly cycle counts & quarterly inventories by leading, coordinating and scheduling internal resources

• Creates, manages and prints open PO report identifying incoming materials to balance workforce by assign receiving schedule

• Identifies variances and establishes root causes to reduce and control variances

• Responsible for proper documentation & verification of transactions in inter-company transfers

• Accountable for proper verification of new raw & packaging materials and validates Bill of Materials is up-to-date

• Leads hourly associates follow proper rotation of materials via FIFO

• Ensures corrective actions are received for Non-Conformance Reports submitted to supplier/vendors along with credit if materials do not meet expected food safety standards

• Ensure proper information is accurate to support food safety and internal audits, but not limited to traceability exercises

• Ensures proper sanitation and stacking of product

• Physically receives, inspect, labels and verifies documentation of incoming materials

• Guides receiving associates to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity; practicing highest levels of GMP’s and conforming to HACCP pre-requisite programs and all associated SOP’s.

• Performs work in a safe manner but not limited continuous improvement to include proper associate participation and behavior as it relates to our safety program/culture

• Required active participation on Health & Safety training and audits

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

•       High school diploma or GED preferred but NOT required.

•       2 years minimum experience in Inventory management Role

•       Previous experience with BPCS/SAP/Oracle strongly preferred.

•       Comfortable with responsibility and accountability for tracking spend.

•       Purchasing familiarity

•       Must be able to perform basic computer skills.

•       Must be able to work any day and/or shift including weekends and holidays.

•       Must have physical ability and strength to perform assigned tasks.

•       Must be able to lift 50 pounds, carry and/or stack pans, ingredient containers, etc.

•       Must be able to work in elevated areas and enter confined spaces.

•       Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes. 

•       Must be able to work 40 hours per week with a start time of 6:00 am, work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday and is subject to change.
