Position Summary:

A Production Associate - Slicer is responsible for setting up and maintaining quality control of the slicer. Operate in a manner that follows all necessary quality and food safety requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Essential Skills, Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Team oriented a must.
  • Set up Slicer Machine / Replace Slicer Blades / Clean Blades.
  • Assists with cleaning and rotating Belts, keep chains lubricated (operator care).
  • Monitors quality control.
  • Load and unload racks assist supervisor on all other tasks.
  • Must maintain area clean, neat, and organized.
  • Must be able to stand 100% of the work day.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.
  • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
  • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Education or equivalent preferred. 
  • Experience: 3-5 Years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus. 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.   
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time (except for break and lunch periods), climb, perform repetitive motions, and work in a dusty, loud and hot environment.  
  • You must have good written and oral English language communication skills.  
  • You must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).   
  • Ability to work 8+ hour shifts, irregular and/or rotating shifts, including split days off (non-consecutive days off) and work holidays and weekends (frequently required); including mandatory Over Time.
