This position is responsible for developing and planning strategies that promote sales growth and overall customer profitability.  Its purpose is to support the development and implementation of growth strategies and tactics through Trade Analytics, Pricing Rationalization, and Best in Class Category Management principles. This position will work directly with Customer Teams (Customer Directors and Account Executives), Regional Operations Teams, and Finance Leadership focusing on our three business imperatives: Profitable Growth, Branded Sales Growth, and Dollar Share Growth.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development of Customer Strategies

  • Develop Trade Promotion plans that deliver positive Return on Investment (ROI) and drive profitable & sustainable sales growth

  • Ownership of pre and post promotional analysis and tracking, utilizing promotional analysis models and other off-line analysis as needed

  • Develop Base and Promotional Forecasts for each of the Channels, Brands, & Key Customers using the Navigator planning tool

  • Lead Central BU “Must Execute” process that provides visibility to Key Account promotional activity and full business growth projections to align the customer forecast with sales operations ordering

  • Partner with sales leaders on all Trimester Trade Reviews (Partner with Account Executives, Operations, and Customer Planning leadership)

  • Own pricing adherence to Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guardrails and approvals prior to Central DB entry

  • Develop “Best Practices” and “Best in Class” examples that can be deployed across other customers in each sub market

  • Utilize Syndicated Data and Panel Research to monitor shopping behaviors and consumer trends

  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators for revenue, volume and controllable expenses (freshness, inventory and labor) in order to achieve the key objectives for assigned sales

  • Ensures compliance with all BBU safety programs promoted by the company

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or related field preferred.  A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales operations and or analytical position.
  • Strong technical and analytical background is a must
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Fluent knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs (Power point & Excel)
  • High level understanding and management of a P&L is a must
  • At least 6 months’ experience leading and influencing others
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required
  • Travel Required, 20%
