Under general direction, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for developing strong business relationships our large format customers, focused on the perimeter departments of Deli and In Store Bakery. The purpose of this position is to maximize profitability, sales potential and sales support with our local customers.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales plan for warehouse delivered commercialized products and new innovation platforms

  • Provide action-oriented market intelligence.

  • Represent the company in trade and community relations.

  • Develop BBU’s Acelerada business through key contacts including our customer’s buying office teams, internal national account, brokers, marketing teams and store and region management.

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of business development plans to maximize space, position, distribution and promotion of BBU/Acelerada products.

  • Assist, coordinate and implement the development of channel specific items and strategies to grow sales and market share.

  • Provide category management expertise in all product categories and conduct business reviews.

  • Act as a liaison between brokers, distributors and Acelerada management in communicating new programs, accounting and practicing issues, developing and implementing product schematics.

  • Conduct store retail price surveys, customer satisfaction surveys and collect competitive trade information.

  • Efficiently manage the customer accounts Trade and marketing budget.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required plus 3+ years of related CPG sales/analytical responsibility, brand management and/or comparable experience or related experience within BBU or the baking industry.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have experience working in a sales setting and have working knowledge of warehouse sales operations and broker management.
  • Requires excellent organizational, planning, negotiating and people skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
