The Senior Financial Analyst position is responsible for developing and maintaining managerial financial performance measurement systems, analyzing Bakery performance and reporting to Sr. Management on a monthly basis.  Significant responsibilities also include Manufacturing Planning, Forecasting and Analysis in addition to maintaining and reporting Key Performance Indicators and special projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Period Financial Performance Reporting: Generate monthly and quarterly performance reporting and variance analysis to Prior year and Plan; Compute and analyze volume, mix , inflation and productivity impact; Assist in the development of decision support financial modeling and ad hoc reporting; Analyze data to identify potential cost improvement opportunities; Prepare presentations for Business Reviews

  • General Accounting: Support accounting period closing activities; Prepare journal entries, Account analysis and Review financial activity for variation analysis and compliance with corporate policy

  • Planning & Analysis: Assist with Annual Plan and Forecasting activities including: Coordinating inputs from Manufacturing, Validating Hyperion data and Preparing analytics and presentations for Sr. Management reviews

  • Interface both cross functionally and within the Shared service group on issue resolution

  • Lead or participate in special projects within the continuous improvement initiatives

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance major preferred

  • Oracle and Hyperion Essbase experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge:  Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; strong analytical skills, accounting knowledge and attention to detail; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, proficient with Microsoft Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
