The Senior Manager, FP&A is responsible for:

  • A key member of the Commercial Finance and FP&A leadership team, which provides thought leadership and support to executive management, ensuring resource allocations are optimized.
  • Annual plan preparation with input from business units and departments; ensures input has been documented and properly included.
  • Ensures all budgeted expenses are adequately documented and supported, properly calendarized and in line with the company’s overall strategic plans.
  • Works with department heads to ensure budgeted goals are met; management of budget restatements and ensures communication to department heads.
  • Oversee updates to the financial forecast in an accurate and timely manner, work with regional finance teams on update of rolling forecasts and prepare leaders for review with executive management team.
  • Preparation of internal financial reporting with variance explanations against plan and latest estimate.
  • Management of FP&A analysts within the group, allocation of work assignments, hire, train, develop and retain best in class team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial operations through process changes and implementation of new technology.

  • Assist Senior Management with special projects to support strategic decision-making (e.g., what if" strategic analysis, business forecasting).
  • Develop decision support financial modeling and ad hoc financial analysis for relevant issues impacting the business

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, research capabilities and overall business acumen required.
  • Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines; well organized and detail oriented.
  • Excel expertise (vlookups, pivots) is a must.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (excel chart linkage) experience a must.
  • Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with senior management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or other Financial Software products a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work well in a team and lead teams in other functions.
  • Ability to adapt well to a changing environment.
  • Consumer packaged goods industry experience a plus.
